Forward thinking trusts will measure all aspect of travel although many organisations will not be able to measure the whole impact of travel at this point.
A good starting point would be business travel. In so doing we need to beware of discouraging care closer to home and so it is worth considering the impact on patient and visitor travel too. The objective is to reduce carbon emissions for all areas of travel which can be more effectively achieved through good travel planning considering all travel to and from site.
