The Environment Agency EA has released a number of tools which will help participants with the CRC.

New Annual Report Calculator Tool

The EA has produced a new Annual Report Calculator tool to help participants with data management for CRC. It will help you produce the data you need for your annual report. The tool, together with instructions on how to use it, are available here.

The annual reporting window for the 2011/12 compliance year is open now and will close on 31 July 2012. You will need to submit an annual report unless you have a valid group or general CCA exemption. You don’t need to submit another footprint report for the remainder of the introductory phase.

New Ask The Expert films

The EA have produced some new Ask The Expert film guides on allowances, annual reporting, compliance audits and the Performance League Table.  Download and view these films.

Appointing account representatives and obtaining digital certificates

You will need to appoint at least one account representative to order and surrender allowances. Each account representative will also need to obtain a digital certificate. Both of these processes should be completed now.

Account Representative PIN and Validation Letters

The EA has now started sending out PIN letters to Senior Officers and validation letters to all nominated account representatives. If you have been nominated as an account representative then you will need both of these letters to complete the enrolment process. Further guidance on how to do this is available here.

As well as enrolling you also need to obtain a digital certificate to enable you to order and surrender allowances.
