NHS Day of Action on Sustainability
All NHS organisations and their stakeholders are being asked to sign up to a 'Day of Action' on sustainability.
It will take place on Wednesday the 28th March 2012.
We are asking that organisations back the effort by participating in the event and emailing your support and your plans for the day to Sustainabilityday2012@uclh.nhs.uk.
Examples of the sort of action you could take are:
- Holding a Sustainability Day of action on th 28th March 2012
- Pledging to change actions
- Publicising the event
- Getting all members of staff to engage with patients and partners and work together to make a difference on sustainability issues
- Raise awareness of sustainability in clinical practise, local sourcing of food, low carbon menus, procurement, active travel including walking to work and using public transport.
